That's My Boy!

Kazuo totally impressed me last night and I must share this with all of you because I know most of you out there are Who fans. May I add that I'm very grateful Emmett was there to witness the event so I can swear up and down and cross my heart that all this really happened.

We were getting Kazuo ready for bed. Emmett started the ritual of showing Kazuo the pictures we have down the hallway to his room. The first, John Lennon and Kazuo always says, "peace". Then Martin Luther King Jr, Kazuo said "Junior" and finally Nelson Mandela to which he replied "Mandela". Emmett then pointed to me and said, "And who's that?" Kazuo mumbled "mom" but I looked at him with a puzzled look and said, "Who?" Kazuo looked at me and then started to sing, "Who are you? Who, who, who, who". We were just in total shock. I was happy beyond belief but still in shock at this 22 month old child. I had been singing this song to him but he has only said, "Who, who, who, who" which was enough to delight the heck out of me. He sang it one more time before bed and again this morning at breakfast. Brings a tear to the eye of this proud mum. Indeed.

Hey Dave!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. I will definitely pass along your message to Emmett. I look back at Toronto AND Chicago with great fondness too. I miss you my friend. Hope to see you soon in the next few months. I'm sending you an email soon as a lot has happened these past few months. My love to you and Corie.

awwww i can picture the scene unfolding, maybe in the future children who grow up influenced by people like nelson mandela will have some positive impact on the shattered world we'll be leaving them.
