My Little Mod

My Little Mod Posted by Picasa

This is my son, Kazuo James. His name means "man of peace" - one can only hope he will live up to his name. His middle name is in honour of his late Great Uncle Jim. But personally I'd like to think he's named after Jimmy from Quadrophenia - my favourite movie and one of my favourite Who albums. When I was carrying this little Mod not a week would go by where I would press my pregnant belly against one of the speakers with Quadrophenia playing. No, no not the entire album I would select a song each week. When I look at this picture I like to think Kazuo looks a little like Keith Moon especially with his long hair (which has since been cut short). This little Mod came along to the 2003 The Shout Who Convention with me without me knowing he was coming along for the ride. I found out I was pregnant the day after I came home from London.

He is my world.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for posting a reply to my comment. I don't think you're too far from the mark about my little Mod being a rocker. He seems to love music and at 18 months he is starting to sing to himself.

Love the name of Joshe's new band!! I hope he has a blast in it! Take care Si, great to hear from you again.

oh my gosh Ann, that is SUCH a great photo of Kazuo. I actually have a few that we took of him when he was here (same shirt LOL) and have copies for you - so next time I see you, they're yours. :)

Hey you (Elizabeth),

You realize now you no longer have a private blog? LOL. :-D And it's time for me to get off my duff and read yours. ;-)

I can't wait to see those pics you have of Kazuo. And no, I still haven't exposed him to Monty Python yet. LOL!

Elizabeth,

Get your butt back into your blog "you've got comments". I wonder if we could convince Roger to do a voice over for a blog? LOL. You've got yourself an incredible blog. I love what you've written so far. Thanks for allowing me into something so personal, it means a lot to me. :-)

Hey you, thanks for your sweet comments. :) And I adore that pic of you and Simon - it takes me back - not to the actual event of course, but that was the first pic I ever saw of you - you sent it to me around this time 3 years ago, not sure if you remember. Time flies. :)

Children are so amazing! I used to play all sorts of music on my belly too! My daughter is doing Ballet and seems to have a real love of music. I totally believe what we do to those bellies has a lot to do with it!

Plus taste! Good choice in WHAT to play! He is beautiful!

Take care,
Molly

Molly,

Thanks for the sweet comment about my son. I strongly feel music is SO important for children. The earlier they are exposed to it the better. My son is exposed to everything from classical to grunge.
