A Mod named Irish Jack
Irish Jack participated in a Question and Answer session for the Who fan forum I co-run called The Grid a couple of years ago. From that interaction came email exchanges and even a phone conversation. I don't know everything there is to know about Irish Jack but I know a little about him. A year ago I neglected to send him emails and didn't even attempt to keep in touch. Entirely my fault. Friends of mine went to the April 2006 Who Convention and Jack was there. He passed along a message for me to get back in touch with him. I didn't, okay I admit it I'm an idiot. Anyway, long story short he emailed me a few weeks back and this time I emailed him back. I heard back from him yesterday. His email prompted me to post this blog today. I have to say he is one of the nicest and interesting people I've been lucky enough to cross paths with. He has such a caring and warm side to him and he tells the best stories.
I can say without hesitation that he is a friend and I'm truly grateful for his friendship. The past few weeks I've lost faith in some people and his email has brought me back into the light. So, I count my positive blessings and leave the others behind.

Thanks so much and nothing to worry about in terms of what happened to me. I don't know if everyone goes through this but sometimes you begin to see another side of a person and you don't like what you see. Everyone has their quirks and I certainly have enough to fill a planet but some things you just can't shake. You try but just can't. I feel pretty sad about it and I'm hoping I can work it out in my head and continue on rather than end a friendship. I'm sure it'll be fine, it just takes me a while to sort through things.
I shall return to your blog with the mushroom combo. I have to call my trusty friend, Bill (full of wiseness holistic guy) and get the proper name for it. :-) He is as wise and even looks like Gandaf from Lord of the Rings. He also tells the best "groaner" jokes. Info coming soon!

The Toronto show was excellent! Both Roger and Pete had colds but they gave it their 200%. They both looked as though they were having lots of fun. I'll post more on the blog soon.
I'm okay. My chin isn't as low as it was the last time I emailed you but it shall be up high soon. I just have to work things out in my mind, be satisfied with it and carry on. Thanks for asking, you're a doll. :-)
